Common issues

"Your Mac agent is offline." Start it on your Mac with apple-notes-agent run and make sure the Mac is awake (tip: caffeinate -s while plugged in).
macOS says it can't control Notes. System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation → allow your terminal app to control Notes.
Notes from iPhone missing. Confirm iCloud Notes sync is enabled on both the iPhone and the Mac (Settings → iCloud → Notes).
Connector shows unauthorized. Remove and re-add the connector in your assistant to refresh the OAuth grant.
Locked notes don't appear. Password-protected notes are excluded from automation by macOS — this is by design.

Stop and unpair the Mac agent: quit the process and delete ~/.apple-notes-agent.json.
Remove the connector in your assistant's settings.
Email us to delete your account and all associated data.
